App screenshots, made in ChatGPT

Turn your app captures into App Store and Google Play artwork. Add headlines, backgrounds, and device frames in a conversation, then download the full-resolution PNGs in one ZIP.

From capture to store artwork

  1. Install the public plugin and connect when prompted.
  2. Open a new chat, select App Listing Screenshots, and attach your captures.
  3. Ask for a set, review the result, and download the PNG ZIP.

Use the public directory link above. Older personal or manually uploaded plugins can have the same name.

Preview and enlarge in ChatGPT

A 30-second recording of the preview and enlargement controls in the public ChatGPT plugin, using the bundled sample. This clip shows an already completed export.

Start with one of these prompts

Install from the public directory, start a new chat and select App Listing Screenshots before sending your request. Availability can depend on your ChatGPT account and client.

Try the sample

Use the bundled habit tracker sample to make three 1080×1920 screenshots titled Build Better Habits, Track Every Day, and See Your Progress. Use blue, purple, and mint backgrounds. Show the preview and give me the PNG ZIP.

Use your app captures

Use my attached app captures to create three App Store screenshots at 1320×2868. Write a short, truthful benefit headline for each, keep the source images, show a preview, and give me the PNG ZIP.

Make a feature graphic

Use the bundled habit tracker sample to make one Google Play feature graphic at 1024×500 with the headline Build Better Habits. Show the preview and give me the PNG ZIP.

If a preview fails to load, the returned PNG and ZIP links can still work. Ask for the original PNG links and report the issue through Support.

Use in Codex

ChatGPT desktop app & Codex CLI

ChatGPT and Codex share the public plugin directory. In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Plugins, find App Listing Screenshots by Ben Baler, and install the public version. Start a new Codex session to use its Skill and tools.

In Codex CLI, open /plugins to browse the plugins available to that environment. The Codex IDE extension does not currently support plugins.

Official plugin installation and advanced setup

Install in Claude

Claude Desktop & Claude Code

Claude communicates with App Listing Screenshots via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). You can configure Claude Desktop on macOS or Windows, or connect through Claude Code.

Option 1: Claude Desktop (macOS & Windows)

Open your Claude Desktop configuration file in your preferred text editor:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Add the following server configuration under mcpServers (using the lightweight mcp-remote bridge for Streamable-HTTP):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "app-listing-screenshots": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://listingframe.benbaler.workers.dev/mcp"]
    }
  }
}

Save the file and restart Claude Desktop. The hammer icon will show app-listing-screenshots tools active.

Option 2: Claude Code (CLI)

Run the following command in your terminal to register the MCP server with Claude Code:

claude mcp add app-listing-screenshots -- npx -y mcp-remote https://listingframe.benbaler.workers.dev/mcp

Option 3: Claude Projects (Custom Instructions)

In Claude Projects on claude.ai, copy the system prompt instructions from skills/create-screenshots/SKILL.mdinto your Project Instructions.

Example Claude Prompt

“Check screenshot options with list_screenshot_options, then create two 1242×2688 iPhone screenshots with dark indigo backgrounds and bold benefit headlines. Export the series and share the download link.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the AI plugin require payment or account credits?

No. Renders performed through the remote MCP plugin are free. The plugin connects via automatic anonymous OAuth without requiring a website account, credit pack, or subscription.

Do I need to install Node.js or local rendering dependencies?

No. All rendering, CanvasKit/Skia processing, and ZIP archiving take place on our dedicated Cloudflare Worker. Neither your local machine nor the AI host needs image manipulation libraries.

How long are exported files stored?

New series PNGs and ZIP archives are retained on Cloudflare R2 until a deletion request. Their signed links have no automatic expiry. If an older link has expired, ask the agent to export the series again.

Does the plugin upload screenshots to Apple or Google directly?

No. The plugin generates PNG image files and ZIP archives for you to review and upload to App Store Connect or Google Play Console yourself.
